We begin our new feature with Shane himself !!

Three times Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the year. Member of the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame. A Goldwell Ambassador and Global Ambassador for Stylesign and Dualsenses.

Shane looks after the creative side of the Shane Bennett brand heading up the Artistic team .. which was awarded British Artistic team of the Year in 2015 and is also nominated for the title this year.

Based in the salon four days a week, Shane specialises mainly in cutting. His signature style mixes the classic with a modernist edge complimented by beautiful hair colour from his technical team .

Shane has looked after his clients for many years and is always delighted to welcome new clients into his column.

Asked recently who carried that "Ideal Iconic Haircut" Shane's answer was "The style created by Sam Mc Knight for the late Princess of Wales. It still remains timeless over 20 years later ...."

Shane is a lover of fashion and has developed his own unique style . His love for traveling takes him to his favourite place and for those who know him this is Sitges in Spain .. but no where is loved more than home in Rostrevor ..

Kelly Shannon - Senior stylist

This year Kelly celebrates 18 years in hairdressing and 13 within our team.

A very talented and capable stylist, Kelly has gained a strong reputation for her cutting. Kelly classes the graduated bob, one of the hardest hairstyles to cut might we add, as a firm favourite of hers. A good haircut needs a good blowdry and finish. With volume and curl still very much in vogue, Kelly is your go-to stylist for that long lasting curly blowdry.

When it comes to a favourite product it has to be Goldwell Stylesign Glamour Whip Mousse For Kelly "This will help add the foundation and hold to your style" says Kelly.

Keeping all things creative, Kelly likes to paint, if it is not pictures it is restoring and hand painting furniture. She also runs the family home and looks after her two small children Ethan and Jude.

Dorothy Sturgeon - Colour director

Dorothy celebrates 35 years in the hairdressing industry working in Belfast, London and Sydney. Her career spans from working in top salons to an education role for three of the world's leading haircare manufacturers presenting and teaching trends and colour techniques.

A UK Goldwell Global Zoom Winner and nominee for British Hairdressing Awards Colour Technician of the Year, Dorothy has a real love and passion for all types of hair colour from problem solving to her trade mark Micro Fine Highlights.

Teaming up hair with fashion is key and Dorothy's pastel textured crop is on trend. Dorothy has her own unique style and has been known to team up her Doc Martins with her little dress.

Julie Cherry - Salon Manager

A winner of many awards throughout her career but is most noted in 2015 being crowned Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year with her fellow team member Colette Fitzpatrick.

An all-round stylist Julie specialises in cutting and finishing hair with a true love for precision cutting. Renowned for her own slick bob, Julie is a lover of fashion especially shoes with Christian Dior being one of her favourites and why not!!

As winter approaches Julie loves nothing more than skiing and is looking forward to her trip in the New Year.

Recently asked what her favourite hair product was, Julie says " It has to be Goldwell Kerasilk Plumping Cream, a premium product that adds volume and body to even the finest of hair."

Finally we asked Julie to reveal a secret - it is the fact that she has very curly hair when it is not blow dried out.
